Search engine optimization starts out with thorough keyword phrase research and analysis – the most important step in any SEO campaign.
You and I could probably think of some great keyword phrases… but are humans typing them in search engines? Without proper keyword research, you’ll have no roadmap for your optimization project. There are at least 100 elements and practices that a properly optimized site should have and consider. One such element is keyword rich content. I will work with your text/copy to incorporate your researched keyword phrases. I detail my work progress so that you can monitor what I’m doing to your site and see the research that goes into your project.
My typical optimization project may goes like this
1. Analyze the architectural and structure of the Web Site and make sure it’s search engine friendly
2. Keyword Research (competition, popularity and search volumes)
3. Then we both sit down and narrow down what keyword phrases will be targeted
4. OnPage Optimization (meta tags, title, content, cleaning of code or re-design if needed and more)
5. Site map creation
6. Analytics Installation (if not already done so)
7. Link Building (anchor text links from relevant and high PR sites, social media marketing, directory submission, relevant forums, Dmoz, blog and ect)
There is much more along the way but this is the basic structure most of my optimization projects.
I go into monitor site’s traffic and rankings to generate report that identifies current rankings/inclusion in the search engines and its conversion. I then go into monitor the results on targeted keywords(long tail and short) to show how effective the campaign is.
During the optimization period I analyze a website’s statistics, referrer traffic, keyword placement, determine where improvements can be made and/or revise keyword phrases when market trend changes to ensure positive ROI.
